The First Female Beefeater at The Tower of London

Moira Cameron served for 15 years as the first female Yeoman Warder at the Tower of London since the body formed in 1485.


She joined the Beefeaters in 2007 after a distinguished 22-year career in the British Army. During her tenure she has welcomed millions of visitors to the Tower and participated in many formal activities, such as guarding the Crown Jewels, The Lord Mayor’s Show, and duty at the gun salutes for royal birthdays and deaths.

Moira has made numerous appearances in the media, has featured in Tower advertising campaigns, charity work, and also produced and sang in the first-ever variety show at the Tower of London. She's now an author, motivational speaker, and presenter.
